How are you entering it? (Are you sure it`s an SC303 model?)

If you`ve already entered wrong codes, then it may be semi-locked. Try leaving it SWITCHED ON....UNDISTURBED until it resets itself.

Thanks for checking RegWorts. I just switch the radio on and it says SAFE then I think it has a number (was 10 (as in attempts left) and has now gone down to 7) and four dashes. I use preset buttons one to four to enter the code and press AS. Then it comes back with SAFE and the number has dropped by one and the four dashed again. It's definately an SC 303. There are two types though, one has an external LCD (mine) and one has the LCD integrated. On the back it says SC 303 (C) and the serial code if definately right assuming that those zeros aren't letter o
