The CDR500 is made by DELCO or SIEMENS/VDR (depending on how old it is...but they are the same company )

Unfortunately your code will not be available for free (or cheap) from anywhere on the Internet as this Serial Number is not in the available GRUNDIG database.

It requires access to the original manufacturer`s database which is only available from your Main Dealer .(and a few of the larger Professional Radio Decode Specialists)

Otherwise try a Decoding Service or your local Car Radio / Audio Shop who will electronically "read "/ recode the memory chip (EEPROM) using a laptop and specialist software.

Could that be C031426 ? then 604 would be the code. Ford serials begin with C, L or M followed by 6 numbers.
