hi im new to this can anyone help me my astra has just had a gearbox fitted and they had to disconnect the battery. now my car stereo has gone into safe mode and i dont have the code. vauxhall has quoted me 30 quid but i refused on principle. can anyone help the numbers are

I paid £5, but cant remember which site I used now.

If you have the car pass it has the radio code on there.
To use it and unlock the stereo do this.:
with ignition on, engine off, press and hold AS then turn stereo on.
Continue to hold until stereo beeps.
It should now say 10 SAFE
10 is the amount of tries you have remaining before the stereo locks and you HAVE to go to dealer.
Using buttons 1 - 4 enter the code on screen, then press and hold AS again to enter the code.
If you get it wrong it will show 9 SAFE and each time you get it wrong the stereo will lock for longer and longer.

If you have no code it can be got off the net for £6.99 or remove stereo and fit a new aftermarket one.
