If it is M536141 it will be 3218

If it is V536141 it will be 8145

Ford Fiesta radio model 3000 Traffic. MPD5DP303255 are the letters and numbers I found when pressing buttons 1 and 5 together and holding them down. Its a W registration with first registration in 2000. Would be grateful as I inherited the car from my old Dad who passed away a few months ago and the radio is probably worth more than the rest of the car!

That is not the serial number.

It will be a M or V followed by six numbers.

Sometimes pressing buttons 1 and 6 or 2 and 6 together will display it. If not the radio will have to be removed to find it on the label on the back. It will be a M or V followed by six numbers.

Are people really handing these out for free? Mine is V037070 - I bought the car second hand and told him not to worry about the code because I thought I'd find it online like I have in the past. Little did I know the V codes are impossible to find for free.

If anyone can decode V037070 you would really make my day. Dealer wants £20.
