CHRYSLER do not make radios .They only affix their badge onto radios made by the large manufacturers (ALPINE , CLARION etc).

Unfortunately you haven`t given enough information to identify your radio . The VIN number is only required when applying to obtain a code from your Main Chrysler Dealer.

Are you sure you have quoted ALL the LETTERS+NUMBERS on ANY LABELS, BARCODES or STAMPED IN THE METAL CASING.?

Just as a matter of interest, also post the code that you have already tried as this can be useful in identifying your radio.

A 1996 Ford radio WILL have an M prefix serial.

Unfortunately this code will NOT be available for free (or cheap) using the Serial Number from anywhere on the Internet as it is not in the available database. It requires access to the original factory database held by your Main Vauxhall Dealer or one of the larger Decode Services.

The alternative is a Decoding Service or your local Car Radio / Audio Shop (who are normally the cheapest option) who will be able to read the code from the memory chip (EEPROM) using a laptop + dump reading software.....but this won`t be free !
