Sorry. Your VDO code will only be available from a main dealer or the unit will have to be taken into a radio decoding specialist.
It is unlikely to be available for free or cheap from anywhere on the Internet0 -
OK thanks - do you think the sites online that offer codes for £20~ would work?0

Not sure if anyone can be of any help with this - can't seem to find the serial number on my dad's car radio, but using the 1 and 6 trick, the following numbers cycle through:
5070 1940
O
DP MV SH
255
09-00-00
CD
The radio is still working, but we need to change the battery and are concerned it's going to lock the radio. It's a Ford Focus 2003 1.8D. Can anyone help with the information above?
Thanks in advance!0 -

Those numbers are not the serial number.
You will have to get the serial number off the radio to find the code. Sometimes pressing buttons 1 and 6 or 2 and 6 together will display it. If not the radio will have to be removed to find it on the label on the back. It will be a M or V followed by six numbers. If it begins with a M post the serial number and we can find the code for you.0
