Ford V Series is dealer only or onsite recode. Some dealers will do it for free if you take the car there.

    Hiya,

Usual situation here of battery being disconnected and no stereo code with the car. Its a Vauxhall Zafira and the stereo is a SiemensVDO CDR500. There are 3 numbers on the unit that could be a serial code

    495086337 (9 digit)
    A2C53057593 (11 character)
    BS0005082529531 (15 character)

    Any help much appreciated
    Simon

Hi, I'm student and really don't want to spend any money on this topic!

Please can you find out my code or tell me a cheap way to do it (I visited a decoding site: 25£ is too much!)
Model VDO CDR 500 in an Astra
    Serial number: GM050021419383
    Thanks in advance!

Other info on label: GM VDO 330886636
    No.: 24 469 302 ; Type:CDR 500 (E)
    2F4 ; WA000216 ; Barcodes: 9022 214 03759 00 and 003 0216 1419383
Sorry....your code will only be available from someone with access to the Main Dealer database or the unit will have to be taken into a Radio Decoding Service

It is unlikely to be available for free from anywhere on the Internet

    Hi

After searching for help with security code for the radio in my ford Mondeo I saw your message and hope you can help.

After having repairs where the battery was disconnected the radio requires a code to unlock it. Searched through the car documents and couldn't find a code so rang the dealer who told me it was simply the last 4 digits of the serial number displayed on the windscreen, thought this sounded too good to be true and it was because it didn't work!

The audio equipment is a Sony CD DAB model
    vehicle serial number WF0EXXGBBE8S12777
Do you need any further info

    Thanks

The number you have quoted is the car VIN number

The correct radio SERIAL NUMBER is required for a Ford code

It usually begins with M or V followed by SIX digits ...such as M654321 or V654321

Sometimes pressing buttons 6 & 1 together or 6 & 2 will display this number

Otherwise remove the radio from the dashboard and post the SERIAL NUMBER found on a label on the casing

Radio removal instructions can be found here

Ford V Serial codes are not usually available for free from anywhere on the Internet (unless you can blag it for free from Ford) as they are not calculated using software but require access to the Ford factory database( via a Ford Dealer)...which is not commercially available as software.

See your PM message for reliable options..with a guarantee

Otherwise try your Ford Dealer or a Radio Decoding Service

    Hi,

Hoping someone can help, i recently had a dead battery and has thus locked my radio (RD1)

    Serial Number: CL0410Z0182929

    PU-2325 A (B)

If anyone can provide me with a code that would be great!

    Many thanks
    Ian:D
Your radio is made by CLARION and the only CLARION code that can be calculated (using a serial number ) anywhere on the Internet is if your radio also has a BARCODE SERIAL NUMBER beginning with C7000000* * * * on a separate label somewhere on the metal casing.
    (Note ...not beginning with CL.)

If not then it will only be available from your Main Dealer or a Decoding Service or your local Car Radio / Audio Store who will connect a laptop to read/recode the memory chip (EEPROM) inside your radio.
