Car Radio Unlocking

i have a ford galaxy
the radio says locked, no option to try typing in any codes
went to local fords, they said it needs to go to specialist to unlock it as they dont have the software
its a 6006 cdc, m017784
i have since bought another,cheap cd player but would like to get this one sorted if anyone has a clue what or where i should try

Sorry....your code will only be available from someone with access to the Main Dealer database or the unit will have to be taken into a Radio Decoding Service It is unlikely to be available for free from anywhere on the Internet.

It is always risky paying good money for a code by just quoting the Serial Number unless the company offers a MONEY BACK GUARANTEE if it does not work.

Some do, but most don`t so ask BEFORE purchasing.

A safer option is to take it into a local Radio Decoding Workshop where they will open up the radio and definitely get your it working again by reading/recoding the memory chip using special software.

Expect to pay around £20 / £25

Ford V Serial codes are not usually available for free from anywhere on the Internet (unless you can blag it for free from Ford) as they are not calculated using software but require access to the Ford factory database( via a Ford Dealer)...which is not commercially available as software.

Otherwise try your Ford Dealer or a Radio Decoding Service
