................6249 - my mate has put the code in - but the radio displays
"wait 1h" which we presume means wait 1 hour - we leave the key in the ignition for 1 hour for it to prompt to enter the code but it does not work? any suggestions?

Sorry....your code will only be available from someone with access to the Main Dealer database or the unit will have to be taken into a Radio Decoding Service

It is unlikely to be available for free from anywhere on the Internet

Ford V Serial codes are not usually available for free from anywhere on the Internet (unless you can blag it for free from Ford) as they are not calculated using software but require access to the Ford factory database( via a Ford Dealer)...which is not commercially available as software.

Otherwise try your Ford Dealer or a Radio Decoding Service

Serial no. is : M2555587
Its a 55 Plate fiesta.

Can anyone help with a code?

Check your serial number - too many numbers. If M255587 then 8 8 9 5
