Hey Guys,
I have a Ford KA 5000 radio in the car which now asks for a radio code which i have lost. It's totally stuck in the hole now though, so i can't take it out to get to the Serial number. Does anyone have any experience of this and how to take the radio out to get at the serial number so you can get the code?
Many thanks....0 -

This 6006CDC is one of the latest Ford radios and they require 4 x Flat Removal Keys which are available from your Ford Main Dealer , Ebay , Halfords or possibly your local Car Radio / Audio Shop.
The cost will be £5 - £15 or more depending on where you purchase them from.
Unfortunately , you can only use these purchased keys as there are no D-I-Y alternatives .
.
see here for removal details using the correct keys

I`m not sure about your particular radio , but I think that the Serial Number may be one of the later V Series and unfortunately if it is a V then it cannot be decoded for free from anywhere on the Internet.
It might be quicker , easier and maybe cheaper for you in the long run to try your local Car Radio / Audio Shop ( as they are usually the cheapest option ) and see if they can extract your radio AND give you the code at the same time. It will certainly be worth ringing around and asking for quotes.0 -

Alternatives are 2 pieces of bent , wire coathanger or 4 small drills or 4 small Allen Keys or 4 small screwdrivers or even 4 darts.
An assistant is useful to pull the radio out whilst you are releasing the 4 securing clips0
