Hi,
I have an 8 year old ford focus with a sony radio, serial number V012734, I don't know if anyone is able to help with the code for this one please? From what I have seen online, the 'V' serial numbers seem to be much more of a problem getting a code. Thanks.
Sorry.
Your radio has the Ford V Serial Number then it will not normally be available for free as access is required to the Ford factory database (unless you can blag it for free from Ford).0 -

Thanks so much for your reply Bob, what you say is pretty much as I expected. I actually bought the car brand new 8 years ago and have the 'code card' which was supplied when I bought it, which is of course blank! I spoke to the Ford main dealer who I bought it from and my current local Ford garage who both want £24+VAT. I also phoned Ford 'customer service' to complain that I was being charged nearly £30 for information that should have been supplied when I bought the car and this is very unfair. The Asian call centre person I spoke to either didn't know enough English to understand what I was saying or didn't care or both!
I'm really annoyed with Ford and I'm reluctant to give them any more money. I've seen several listings on eBay offering to supply the code for around £9-10, are they likely to be safe to use do you think, or do I have to go with Ford?0 -

Hello,
Ford V Serial codes are not usually available for free from anywhere on the Internet (unless you can blag it for free from Ford) as they are not calculated using software but require access to the Ford factory database( via a Ford Dealer)...which is not commercially available as software.
