I bought the radio brand new for my Rover 25 three months ago and having suffered a flat battery the code is being asked for and I cannot find the code. I spoke the manufacturer and they said they sold that part of the company and did not have the code any more. I have checked out various sites but they seem a little dodgy to me, then I found this thread which was great. Can you check if you have the following code, thanks:

MAKE: MG ROVER
MODEL: VDCD 3042036315
LABEL: XQE000930PMA
BARCODE 1: A2C53099315
BARCODE 2: CG000508036315

MG/ROVER do not make radios . They only affix their badge to radios made by the well known manufacturers (PHILIPS , BLAUPUNKT etc)

Is there a brand name and a 14 character Serial Number anywhere on the casing...either on a label or engraved in the metal?

However , if this is a brand new radio then it is very doubtful whether the code will be available for free from anywhere on the Internet
