I've not long bought a transit connect but the previous owner had no code from when they bought it.
It's a 2007 van with a 6000CD serial no.V207518
Any help with finding its code would be muchly appreciated
Many thanks

Serial numbers beginning with a V are Ford dealer or radio specialist dealer only.
Sorry.0 -
They are just part numbers. Remove the unit from the dash and read the serial from the sticker and post here. Try turning off, holding 6 and turning on, the unit may then request the code but I believe the unit needs specialist (expensive) help to recover it so is economically dead.
I'll try and find a way to remove the radio, but looks like i need to get some of those tools to slot into the sides?
Would disconnecting the battery maybe reset it again? As I tried turning it off and holding 6 and turning it back on, but not a lot of response I'm afraid.
My local ford dealership's service centre said they could obtain help from Ford, but they wanted to charge me $45 just to send them an email equiry... no guarantee that it would be of use or eventuate to anything.0 -
I would be most grateful if someone could tell me my radio code please as I can't find the paperwork?
It's a 6000 CD and the serial number is: M282649.
Thank you in anticipation.
