Serials normally are in the form M654321 or V654321. Press 6&1 or 6&2 and the serial may come up on the screen, if not the unit will have to be removed from the dash and take the serial from the sticker. Are these European Fords ?

Hi everyone, I am new to this so please bear with me. I purchased a second hand radio off ebay and I've been give a wrong code. Is there anybody out there can help me recover this??.

The radio is a VDO CDR500 and serial number is GM050021381331 and the code was 5298 and now it has come up with safe 7 and won't let me put in another code. Thanks and hope it's the right place. Regards
