The correct radio SERIAL NUMBER is required for a code

It usually begins with M or V followed by SIX digits ...such as M654321 or V654321

Sometimes pressing buttons 6 & 1 together or 6 & 2 will display this number

Otherwise remove the radio from the dashboard and post the SERIAL NUMBER found on a label on the casing

Make sure you are quoting the correct Serial Number as any numbers found in car documents , audio guides etc. are often incorrect.

Hi there, just bought a Ford Focus 1.8 tdci and last owner didn't have any documents with the keycode for the radio in the car. The serial number that I've found inside is M176496. Please can I have the keycode.

By the way, a tip for anyone else who may be struggling to actually remove the radio from the dash without the official Ford tools - a stiff wire coat hanger will do the job superbly. So you lose a coat hanger, not a big deal! But just chop off two sections at the lower curves and it's more than strong/long enough to have that radio out in a jiffy. Easy peasy.
