The radio hasn't worked in over a year so I've probably tried a few times with random numbers as I thought I'd have to pay ford.
Solutions to my problem I found are:
1.leave radio on for 2 h
2. disconnect battery
3. depress button 6 for few seconds
Luckily option 3 worked and I entered the code and it now turns on.
Unfortunately I'd forgotten all our radio gives is static so doesn't work anyway -don't know why when I pulled it out all the wires seem to be connected -I guess that's one for a ford forum.
