Wow, you replied just one minute after I posted my request. Impressive. Thanks. :-)m035382 = 4148
Pity the forums don't give me an option to say "send me an email if someone replies to my post" as I waited patiently until today assuming it would happen anyway. So then I logged on again and had the devil's own job finding my original post because the forums don't let you see your own recent posts either. Then I had to scroll though pages of posts looking for mine. Ho hum.
But thank you Dave n for doing it (and within one minute!), and thank you Martin for making it possible in the first place.
Oh, one more thing. I tried to use one of the smilies to the right of the editing screen to brighten up my thanks, but I keep getting a message saying as a newbie I'm not allowed to post links! Duh. So I hand-typed one in.0 -
Hi, recently a not so good auto electrician was meant to be looking for a fault with my fuses and decided to take out my radio unessacerily and the assured me I could contact Ford for a free code which is false and are wanting to charge me.
Anyway, I need your help guys I need music back in my life and don't want to pay Ford just for them to make a phone call.
How do I get the serial number needed to recover my code?
It's a Ford Focus ST2 2006 with Sony headunit.0 -

Sometimes pressing buttons 6 & 1 together or 6 & 2 will display this number
Otherwise remove the radio from the dashboard and post the SERIAL NUMBER found on a label on the casing
