I had to replace my battery yesterday, but not got the tools to get the radio out to get the serial number for the 6000RDS in my Focus.

Any help/ideas, please?

I tried holding down 6/2 together and got nothing. 6/1 gave everything but a serial number.

No other way other than pulling it out I am afraid.

Thought the code might be hidden but I can't see it. Mine was not clear but it was there in amongst the numbers.

You are gonna have to pull it out. You don't need the right tools as a metal coat hanger does the job. See here: Edit. I can't post links so google for removing ford stereo without the right tools for a youtube video of how to do it.
