  • Hello there. Is there anyway of finding the M number without taking the radio out? I've got a 51 plate Focus with cassette/radio.

    Thanks.

You could try pressing the 1st/2nd button whilst pressing the 6th , this always works on the 4500 model fitted to the fiesta but only sometimes works on the Focus . If it was easy we would spend less time telling people how to remove the radio ( it is easy )

    Try . post back result

Thanks so much for the response, unfortunatly I've had no luck so I'm off to get some removal keys. Are these available from Halfords etc or am I better going to a ford dealer?

Yes to Halfords BUT first try a cut down wire coat hanger , All the 'keys' are . is a wire u -shape ( look at ebay for an image)
Push in firmly, some inches , you can't do any damage

    adam-20 .............

Ford V Serial codes are not usually available for free from anywhere on the Internet (unless you can blag it for free from Ford) as they are not calculated using software but require access to the Ford factory database( via a Ford Dealer)...which is not commercially available as software.

See your PM message for cheap options

Otherwise try your Ford Dealer or a Radio Decoding Service
