  • Hi guys, Ive got a problem with getting the radio code for my ford focus!
Bought a 2nd hand focus few weeks ago and discoevered it needed a new battery, so now I need the radio code!!!!!

The problem is that I, my local garage and my local ford dealership can't get the radio out to discover the serial number (clips must be broken or something).
So I rang the previous owner wonderig if they might have the radio code and no luck, so i rang the original dealership that sold the car and they said they don't keep records of radio codes for cars they have sold.

I've pressed 1 and 6 on the radio and it comes up with these numbers in this order:

    06 00 06
    CD KW 8
    05 01 02
    ALIGN
    SWP1 66561
    SWP2 14C044
    SWP3 AB
    SWP4

Don't suppose any of these are my serial number? What do you recomend I try next? Take the whole dash off????? Its driving me mad, Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!!!

    Cheers

hi i recently had my battery changed on my y reg ford focus. I have the vehicle identification numbr but don't know where to find the serial number. Can anyone help please?

If i hold the 6 button and press the 1 the number i see is; mgp djs 4-09
    m 415677 = 2066
TO ENTER CODE - press station preset button 1 repeatedly for 1st diget of your keycode - repeat the same on - 2 for 2nd - 3 for 3rd - 4 for 4th - & if the display then shows the correct keycode number press preset button 5 to enter - photo shows radio extractor keys & serial number on the radio casing - go to u-tube & see remove ford radio

Accept that you have a 'broken ' radio , and rip the radio out , doing all the damage to the radio and NOT the dash , then buy a new radio .

    Try pressing 6 and 2

If not then the Serial Number can sometimes be viewed by either removing the ashtray or part of the steering column surround .

Use a torch to peer through the gaps
