    serial number M017955, 3 months with no radio is long enough. Many thanks.

    3 months is a long time , would have been 6 hours shorter if you had checked for an answer to your first request!

  • Hi, I have the Focus 04 6006e, i have pressed6and 1, but the only thing displayed remotely like a code is 1147911a, do i have to take the radio out to get the serial starting with m? thanks.

    Sorry....will only be available from the Main Dealer or the unit will have to be taken into a Radio Decoding Service to obtain this code

    It will not be available for free or cheap from anywhere on the Internet

    Sometimes pressing buttons 6 & 2 will display the correct number

    Otherwise remove the radio from the dashboard and post the SERIAL NUMBER found on a label on the casing

    Here is a video showing how to remove a standard radio from the dashboard.
    A pair of extractors are required (available from Ebay etc ) but these can be made from 2 pieces of bent, wire coat-hanger or 4 small drills(using the blunt end) or 4 small Allen Keys or 4 small screwdrivers or 4 nails or even 4 darts.

    An assistant is useful to pull the radio out whilst you are releasing the 4
    securing clips
