hi my radio is built in and have no idea of how to find the serial number.

can some one help please ?

already had to spend hundreds on a new alternater and other parts dont want to spend more on unlocking my radio

You need two small prongs to remove it - you can get them from ford or an independent car parts shop.

There are two tiny holes at the front of the stereo - pop in the prongs, may take a bit of wiggling but it should come out pretty easy (my 73 year old Mum did it today - so should imagine you should have no problem!)

Once out, the serial number should be on the top of the unit starting with a letter followed by numbers. Hope this helps.

Firstly in response to last post, the removal keys are available on Ebay for £1.05
The seller is a company called incarproducts

Now I've managed to access the serial number I hope a kind soul will help me with the correct key code

The radio SERIAL NUMBER is required for a code

It usually begins with M or V followed by SIX digits ...such as M654321 or V654321

Sometimes pressing buttons 6 & 1 together or 6 & 2 will display this number

Otherwise remove the radio from the dashboard and post the SERIAL NUMBER found on a label on the casing
