no label or V ****** M ******. only has ALQ006688 (bar code) and 7S55-18C939-AB.
The stereo was manufactured in Brazil.

thankyou for this excellent tip. I need a code for the following sereial number V092255. Battery was disconnected to try and clear computer as it was turfing out engine sytem faults. although its been back 3 times to ford for diagnostics they say they cannot find anything wrong??? well something must be wrong but i cant afford £80 every time.

This is not Serial No. Should read M123456

The correct radio SERIAL NUMBER is required for a code

It usually begins with M or V followed by SIX digits ...such as M654321 or V654321

Sometimes pressing buttons 6 & 1 together or 6 & 2 will display this number

Otherwise remove the radio from the dashboard and post the SERIAL NUMBER and any other details found on a label on the casing
