Can anyone please help me with the code for my Ford Focus?

It's a 2007 (56 plate) and the only serial number I can find is on the card that the keycode has rubbed off of!

It has:

6S6J-19331-AA (CG2743) Which doesn't look right compared to everyone else's?

Can anyone help or point me in the direction of locating the serial number?

This method does not work on all models. Press either 6&1 or 6&2 together. Loads of numbers will appear on the screen. If this unit supports this method amongst them will clearly be M123456 or V123456. If not you will need to remove the unit from the dash http://www.fitaudio.com/?View=entry&EntryID=146

Post the M****** number here and we will give you the serial. If it is V****** you will need to pay for the code, try here first http://www.restoredclassic.cjb.net/ as Ford will want £20+

Thank you very much. I have tried those key combinations, but although they give me a spiel of information, no M or V numbers appear. I will have to get some release keys to get the system out and get back to you.

So that's an ex Ford Mechanic, a Ford Main dealer and the firm I bought the car from who didn't know you can get the serial number without removing the whole system including the heater from the car. Or do they, and just want to rip people off???
