    Thanks again for your help.

    I went to connect the radio and enter the key code and noticed some things I still need help with;

    1. I connected both rectangular multi-pin plugs on the wiring harness to the unit but the co-axial wire in the harness(I presume it's the aerial?) was just a short 10cm length going from a male connection to fit the unit to a female socket like an extension piece. I didn't find anything down the radio aperture in the dash to which this end might connect, so is this the aerial or excess to requirements?

    2. When I had partially connected the radio via the above multi-pin plugs the radio display initially showed R489*TLT
    This is NOT the registration of my V-reg Mondeo. Is this a fault code of some sort?

    3. When I went to press button 1 seven times, to enter the key code, the above display changed to LOCKED followed by the number 13

    Is there a way to get the radio working again or is it a hopeless case?

    P.S. My original request is on page 1402 if that helps.

    Lock 13 can only be reset by special software available at ford dealers or radio decoding service, there is no way that I know for resetting other than this.
