How ever just been and tried the number and it did not work!! Previously to this effort the display showed locked as the previous owner must have tried to many times!! But after a bit of research online i found that if i hold down '6' for 40 seconds with the ignition off and the door open then turn on the radio while keeping my finger on '6' then it resets the radio to allow me to try the code again!! So after doing all of that i tried the code you gave me and it did not work!!

I dont suppose you have any idea's?? As the display is now on 12 attemps and apparently when it goes to 13 attemps the only way to get it sorted is to take it to a ford dealer and obviously pay through the nose

Hi, Just a query but do all cars need their radios reprogramming after having a new battery fitted. I had to jump start my car yesterday and the radio still worked afterwards. I'm having a new battery fitted on friday so does this mean I probably won't need a code after it's been changed or isn't that relevant. It's a Mini One if that makes any difference. At least if I do need a code I know where to come.:)

Just checked the code and 0659 is correct code for M040968. Where did you get this serial No. ??, Are you certain S/No. is correct ??

If you got the S/No. in log/handbook radio may have been changed/replaced. Remove radio and find S/No. on label.
