Try holding down 1 and 6 when turning on

Hey PaulyB71, you might be able to help me. Radio stopped working after I got a new battery and code ain't in the book. Dealer charging me through the nose to get it. Was looking up how to get the radio out to get the serial number but it's a triple deck and a trek to get it out! Have to get the whole dash out literally.

..So tried your trick above to see what comes up, got these weird numbers -

    SJH DSP 643-03 255

Does this sound like a serial no to you? Everyone seems to have one that starts with "M"??? Would you have the code for mine????
  • Thanks heaps for the advice RegWorts,

I went back to the dealer with the numbers and they still couldn't help me but have sent the numbers off somewhere to see if they can get the code.

I've also emailed the link you gave me so I'll cross my fingers and see what happens:)

Ford V Serial codes are not available for free from anywhere on the Internet (unless you can blag it for free from Ford) as access is required to the Ford factory database( via a Ford Dealer)...which is not commercially available as software.

See PM message for cheapest options

Otherwise try your Ford Dealer or a Radio Decoding Service
