You have to ask in the section labelled Ford Radio codes for free

Cant see your post in there???

  • I've just had a new battery fitted and now my radio needs a pin code. I don't have this pin code in my documents. Does anyone know how I can get it without having to go to a dealer.

    Thanks
  • Hi,

I hope someone can help me. The alternator packed up on my car yesterday and since getting it fixed I've realised the car stereo manual wasn't stamped by the dealer.

Luckily I've been able to get what I believe is the serial number by switching the ignition on, off and on so that it's displayed on the screen:

M3U02205 or should that be M302205

Many thanks in advance to whoever can provide a code.

    Andy

No you haven't, you posted three times and I've just looked at all three posts. Now, I know the forum says be nice to newbies, but you've been told what to do.

Do you want your code or not? If you do, then go the the ford radio code sticky and post there, you will not get a code. You were given the link in your very first post.

    Here it is again,

Do not start another thread or repost here, go to the thread - click on the link - nothing else, just that click on the link I have just posted and post there - nowhere else, not here, not your first thread and not another thread, just the link I have provided for you.

To the moderator who moved a WHOLE thread from the general section motoring from post # 26782 through to post # 26786, why did you do that?

Without my explanation it would be utterly confusing to anyone reading it, seeing the OP in post # 26782 (he'd already started a thread yesterday asking the same thing) asking for a code and everyone telling him to post in the correct section and providing links, when all they will see is that it (is now) in the correct section.

If you're going to move threads, either provide an explanation that it has been moved or just cut the original post, move that and delete the rest of the thread, which is now meaningless.

Does look like some has been a bit heavy handed with some 'editing'
Some times I wish the regulars on this section could lock / delete the requests which get posted incorrectly. It takes me longer telling 'newbies' where to post then actually calculating the codes.

For those that don't understand ,why we insist of the correct placing of requests , its not only makes things easier for us BUT if a code is supplied in the wrong place , subsequent posters who find the thread may go without our help . if the request thread 'falls' off the active page.

I urge anyone with the software , help us , help the newbies by ONLY posting codes in the correct sticky.
