Car Radio Unlocking

Hello, I have just posted in another place, mbut then realised I should have posted here. So I apologise for that. I hope you can help with my radio:

I changed the battery, now its asking for a code, but I got car second hand and was never given a code.

Can someone please help? My radio is a

Ford 3000 Traffic 2 channel,

and the serial number (on the side) is M178233.

Hi again, RegWorts,
Success!! I left the radio switched on overnight and "Hey Presto", there was the magical "7__ _ _". The code entered with no problem, so radio now back to normal. Thanks once more for your help; you're a saviour.
