I have looked online and downloaded loads of different programmes to unlock my 2001 Corsa Blaupunkt.
According to other forums on the net, it's really difficult, if not impossible to unlock this radio for some reason.
Anyone know any different?0 -

There is only one way to find out!
Post all the letters+numbers on any labels, barcodes or stamped in the metal casing.
This information can then be used to see if a code can be calculated0 -

Thanks for your reply
I've just looked at the radio and I can't get it out anyway, but the make is a CDR2005 Siemans VDO. Apparently there is something with VDO's that make them difficult to recover the code. Is that true?
I just called Vauxhall and they quoted me £24 to order the code in for me. Rip off!0 -

Here is a video showing how to remove a standard radio from the dashboard.
A pair of extractors are required (available from Ebay etc ) but these can be made from 2 pieces of bent, wire coat-hanger or 4 small drills(using the blunt end) or 4 small Allen Keys or 4 small screwdrivers or 4 nails or even 4 darts.
An assistant is useful to pull the radio out whilst you are releasing the 4 securing clips
note: on some radios , these 4 holes are protected by 4 small screws. These
can be unscrewed using the appropriate size of Allen key.
tried to do it with coathnger trick ......cant do it ......:o:o0 -
