That code does seem to work, I pressed the 5th button to confirm, guessing that's right but didn't work! Any more advice? Thanks for getting back to me!!

Hmmm .... Right the sequence is:
Switch the radio on and the word CODE should appear in the display

Repeatedly press button 1 until the correct first digit of the code is displayed.
Repeatedly press button 2 until the correct second digit of the code is displayed.
Repeatedly press button 3 until the correct third digit of the code is displayed.
Repeatedly press button 4 until the correct fourth digit of the code is displayed.
Once the code has been correctly selected on the radio's display, press button 5 to enter.

If that does not work then Be best to remove the unit and physically check the serial

Me thinks this is a non European model !! If so afraid we cannot help
If it is European then have a look again for a serial number starting M then 6 numbers

Hi all, i am in a bit of a bother....

I recently bought a peugeot 306 and the previous owner didnt remind me that they had locked the stereo and lost the code. Can someone please help me?

These are the numbers i got off the stereo
