Hi

Same old story new battery fitted ford stereo now needs code. I cant get the stereo out for the serail number anyway of getting the
SERIAL NUMBER without taking stereo out? Tried the hold 6 press 1 or 2 but only codes this came up with was MGP DJS 050803 4-08

I was extremely grateful for you giving me the code yesterday to unlock my Ford van radio. Unfortunately I cannot get the code typed in because the word 'LOCKED' will not budge. A guy at the local garage told me to keep the ingnition on for an hour but I did to no avail. Any suggestions please?? Lily :-)))

Lily disconnect the battery and leave it for about 5 mins before re-connecting this should reset the head unit and allow you to enter the code provided

As far as i am aware the only option is to take the head unit out and the code is on the sticker on the top or back of the unit (generally the top) begins with a M

with out this M serial we can not generate the required code (same method as would be done at ford garage)

Your radio is made by CLARION and the only CLARION code available for free (using a serial number ) from anywhere on the Internet is if your radio also has a BARCODE SERIAL NUMBER beginning with
C 7000000 + + + + on a separate label somewhere on the metal casing.
(Note ...not beginning with CL.)

If not then it will only be available from your Main Dealer or a Decoding Service or your local Car Radio / Audio Store who will connect a laptop to read/recode the memory chip (EEPROM) inside your radio
