I have a T Reg Focus. Just had a new clutch put in and they had to unplug the battery. Now I have no idea about the code, can anyone help please?

Sometimes pressing buttons 6 & 1 together or 6 & 2 will display your Serial Number

Otherwise remove the radio from the dashboard and post the SERIAL NUMBER found on a label on the casing

It usually begins with M++++++ or V++++++

If it's M then post the serial, if it's V then they are NOT avail free online.

Thanks Reg, I failed to say that the stereo is not VW original equipment but a halfords aftermarket unit fitted a few years ago before I bought the car. Knowing this, is the code still not available?

If it is an aftermarket Sony then these often use a code selected by the first owner.

This means that your only option is to take it into a Radio Decoding Service who will connect a laptop to electronically read the working code inside the radio`s memory chip (EEPROM)

Sorry....will only be available from the Main VOLVO Dealer or the unit will have to be taken into a Radio Decoding Service to obtain this Volvo MITSUBISHI code

It will not be available for free or cheap from anywhere on the Internet
