Post the 14 character serial Number beginning with GM0400xxxxxxxx found stamped in the metal casing

Hi, my wife has just bought a Peugeot 206 cc, but the CD is faulty; I don't have the code for this in any of the paperwork either.
So I've just now bought a replacement Radio/CD (which I assumed came with it's own Code, but it hasn't - chased this & was told to go to my local Peugeot dealer!?!).
Can anyone help with a code for this replacement one? -
- it's a Clarion RD3-01,
- model PU-2471A(J) [ the original was a (G)-version so hope this will work ok]
- serial num CL05424205333OJ
- there's also a 96 552 632 XT stamped, whatever that's for.

Hi Everyone - found this great site after disconnecting my battery relay when looking for a loose connection. Gone without a radio for last few months but got a 8 hour journey on Saturday!

My code is - RN278F40864906 - It also says security - c870 - It's a Renault Clio 1.5 dynamique.
