that was the 9th attempt.

I have no idea why it is doing this!!!!!! Frustrating!

I think im gonna have to go down to ford as this will be the last attempt before it locks, then im screwed.

No point going to Ford as they will only give you the same code for £20+, which I confirm as 9429, then sell you an overpriced exchange unit. Check on the side of the case for an etched number. There is the possibility that the unit has been recoded at some time which means you are screwed I am afraid. Replacement units are available on ebay or aftermarket units are quite cheap.

Are you inputting the code correctly?
i.e. After powering up, the display will show CODE. Input the code using preset keys 1-4, followed by preset 5 to enter.

If LOCK 10 is displayed, keep stereo turned on and wait for the unit to display code.

Hi, yes, there is an etched number on the side of the stereo in fact.

Is it worth finding someone to reprogram it or simply looking at ebay??

Have a look on ebay ( you could even bid on those which do not have a code ........ there much cheaper)
Then ask for code here.

Get an idea of the cost of a replacement , betting someone who could! reprogram would charge more .
esp when including postage.
