    hi was i looking for a ford stereo code if anyone would be so kind.
    I have a 4000 rds stereo and the serial number is m134742.
    Any help would be much appreciated.

    It all depends on the make , model , age of the radio and which car it is fitted into..

    Yours is a V W radio and the only free V W codes are pre year 2000 radios made by Philips or Grundig for V W.

    Yours is made by Blaupunkt for V W and this code has to be looked up on the V W factory database....and this is not commercially available as software
