you need to remove the radio.Hi everybody,
I found this forum via google and i am new on this forum.
I am searching for the radio code for my Nissan Kubistar radio (thought it was a renault radio).
I already called the dealer and they gave me a code, but that code wasn`t working.
The thing is: the radio of my car was broken, so i took exaclty the same radio of exactly the same type car and placed it into my car (we have multiple nissan kubistars here, and one other didn`t need an working radio). After replacing, it seems to work, but i am getting 'Error code' or 'code' on my screen. I can type a 4-digit code here (ex: 1234). When i asked for the code, they asked me for the car chasin number and within an hour they gave me a code. But that code doesn`t work.
Is the radio code based on the radio or on the car? (or an combination)? Because if it is based on the radion then i understand that the code doesn`t work because i replaced the original.
Can someone help me find the code? What do you need of mee to find the code (an unique radio number or something?)?
I really really appreciate any help, because i am a little radio addicted and it isn`t working for 2+ weeks now:(
Many thanks in advance!
Cheers
Marcel
they are too small holes each side of the radio
use an old metal coat hanger 4 darts or very small screwdriver or long nails.
put into holes about 4-5cms and push outwards sideways
and carefully pull radio forward.
you must do the holes on each side at the same time.
Then post the numbers/letters from below the main barcode
something like 7700xxxxxxt123 or 8200xxxxtt123 or
the security code like Q123 or T0U123
can be found in a small box then i can help you
off of the radioHope this has helped you :j0 -
