Does anyone know a way of getting the serial number for a 6000 CD player without removing the radio? I don't have the tool to extract the radio. I just tried using something else and it wouldn't budge

First the diy method



First thing to try , find a wire coat hanger.
Cut off the two corners, allowing at least 6 inches on each arm.
Bend wire until you can insert both ends into the ( same side) holes
Same with other piece of wire.

Push into holes firmly ( they should go in number of inches.)

You now have a radio with a couple of loops sticking out.
Push loops outwards and wriggle.
Radio not you , gentle pull.


If that fails



Then its on to ebay , cost a couple of pounds

Hello.....changing the stereo in my 03 Mondeo.....today....when i realised the adapter lead from Halfords is being sold on the net for half the price...same with the lead for the steering wheel stalk......so returned it. Hence i'll be without sound for a few days as i don't know the radio code for the factory fitted unit...could you inform us of what i maybe......Ta
