0988 is the correct code. If you did not get the serial number off of the sticker, i.e. from the handbook, code card or other pieces of paper in the glove box, I suggest you pull the unit and check the sticker.

hi all, was wondering if anyone can help, i have dragged out two stereos from the loft for my neices car, one is a vx car300 one a car400. i see as the rule goes only one code per post, so was making sure that codes are available for either of them. (will only be using one for the car anyway) many thanks chunder

As a genuine MSE poster posting on various MSE boards apart from just this Unlocking thread then if you post the full details for both radios we`ll see if we can provide both codes.
