how do i enter the code on the 5000. do i press the first button x number of times for the first number, the 2nd button y number of times for the second number ect
Switch the radio on and the word CODE should appear in the display
Repeatedly press button 1 until the correct first digit of the code is displayed.
Repeatedly press button 2 until the correct second digit of the code is displayed.
Repeatedly press button 3 until the correct third digit of the code is displayed.
Repeatedly press button 4 until the correct fourth digit of the code is displayed.

Once the code has been correctly selected on the radio's display, press button 5 to enter
Hope this has helped you :j

Codes for V serials are not available for free, Ford or pro decoder only. It looks like the service you used only have the same software that we do so are unable to decode a V serial, that code is for an M serial.

Thanks Molerat, the (crappy) dealership I bought the car from want me to take the car into somewhere not very convenient to get the code, hopefully I will just be able to pass on the serial number over the phone instead...
