Have had new battery fitted and need radio code..where do i find serial number, is this the same as the engine no?

Sorry , its a M****** number . Normal method is to remove radio fro dashboard .
If you require help , just check back a number of requests to find info on radio removal.0 -

Don't know if this is correct way to send a plea for help but if it is, please help!
Have a Ford 3000 Traffic radio/cassette (yes, it's old!) and the battery was disconnected.
Serial on radio is M017171
Grateful if anyone can help.
