  • Hi i have 2004 transit van which the radio is now asking for a code after 2 years. Was just wondering what i can do to get it working again. I have no code! I have seen some people putting serial no.s up is that for the vehicle or the radio?

    Cheers and thanks in advance

The serial number is for the radio. Remove the radio from the dash and the M****** number will be on a sticker and is also etched into the side of the casing.

The way the idea works . You give us the M****** and we 'decode' it and return a 4 digit number .

To find out your number , if you have a 4500 model press 2nd and 6th button simultaneously and M***** will be displayed , might work on some other radios , worth a try , takes seconds.

But if this fails ( very likely ) remove radio from dashboard .

keys from halfords, £6 , ebay £3 or cut down a wire coat hanger , to form two 'loops'

Slide radio out , M****** normally on a yellow sticker on back/top of radio

    Any problems post here.
