My battery died whilst my 1997 Ford Escort 1.8 16v was stood in the garage for a couple of weeks. I have had the car from 8 months old but don't recall being given a radio code when I bought it. Last time around the garage changed the battery with the engine running so no problems there, but this time I'm stuck.

So, I am hoping that someone here can help me out.

It's a 5000 RDS EON Radio Cassette / CD Changer Compatible and the serial number quoted on the label on top of the radio is M328336

The label also quotes FD 5000V and 'End' 260 723 but I don't know if that is relevant.
