Thank you very much RegWorts, that's fantastic, I'm sure that will work, however it now says 'wait', but no timespan like my booklet says it should. I've disconnected the battery (one terminal only) to see if that re-sets it but no joy yet.
I've only put in one wrong code. Any suggestions please?

To reset , leave SWITCHED ON....UNDISTURBED for as long as it takes to automatically reset itself

(The important word is UNDISTURBED because if it gets interrupted, then the waiting time starts all over again )

This could take an hour more
