bushie I believe removal of car radio is the same as removing Ford radio's. Check Ford radio codes for free thread. Or /and see removal on youtube.

So glad I eventually found this site!

I have a 51reg Ford Puma model 6000 cd radio with a serial of M020704 that I would like to beg, borrow or steal a code for please! The one in the handbook doesn't work and I just had my battery changed.

Codes for V serials are not available free. Ford or a pro decoder I am afraid.
