Hi, can anyone help me please.


I cant unlock my Ford Escort Van stereo.

serial no. MO27548

its an FD3000 TRAFFIC.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!:j

Then press 5th button after you have entered code

My apologies, everyone wanting an unlock code has a genuine reason for wanting one.
Also everyone who got a mobile unlocked has a genuine reason.

I can see where you might be concerned. Why bother going to the trouble of 'locking' radios if some 'fools' hand out codes to by pass the system.
In our ( my ) defence , the info supplied is REALLY easy to find on the web.
Looking back over the hundreds of requests , many posters unnecessary give the age of the car\ radio... many more than ten years old. Paying for a code , would\could cost more than the radio is worth.

I started posting when I requested my 'code' after the battery went flat and someone saved me a lot of hassle . I now just try to return the favour.

Currant thinking is the mobile Sat Nav is far more likely to be pinched and the better radios are protected. Unfortunatly even Ford Main dealers still try and sell cars without the code. I know I bought a 2nd hand Fiesta in June, and had to 'demand' the code. They first tried to say... 'any problems, just bring it back' :rotfl:

This is another (French/Renault ) Philips radio not in my database. Ask restoredclassic@aol.com and they should be able to help (Mention this MSE forum and there should be no charge)

Quote ALL the SERIAL NUMBERS on any labels, barcodes or stamped in the metal casing .
