You use buttons 1-4 to enter the code. If the first digit in the code is '7' for example, you press button 1 seven times. If the second digit is '9', you'd press button 2 nine times.

Once you've entered the code, press button six to save it.

I understand this thread is titled "Ford" radio codes for free, however as this seams the one of the most active threads in this forum I' thought I'd ask here:

Does anyone know the code for a Peugeot Blaupunkt stereo, serial no. BP8146Y8600334 ? or know of a place I can get it (preferably of little cost)??? (Just had my clutch replaced and can't find the code in any of the documantation I have for the car).

Unfortunately the majority of SIEMENS/VDO codes (including your CDR500) will NOT be available for free (or cheap) from anywhere on the Internet as access is required to the original factory database…which is not commercially available..

Try your Main Dealer or a Decoding Service or your local Car Radio / Audio Shop (who are normally the cheapest option) who will connect it to a laptop to read/recode the memory chip (EEPROM)
