I just downloaded an Application to generate a code.
I tried to post the lin. But as i'm new i cant?? It's on page 4 of this thread.
I managed to unlock mine.
I entered your code: M190004. Your unlock code should be 8427.
Let me know if it works for you.

The Ford garage is talking about £30 to change the code and that was his opening gambit on what to do as he doesn't seem to know why the supposed original code does not work.
I am beginning to have a sneaky suspicion that the radio was changed from a cassette type to a cd type and the code I have is the cassette version as I vaguely remember finding a cassette type one in the car boot though I cannot be certain it was this car or my wife's Focus.

M030580. gives the code as 0955
Like the previous poster , where did you get the M****** code from.
Scrap of paper in the glove box
Only certain way is too remove radio from dashboard.
It was on a bit of paper, yes... Thanks thecarpeople for that!!
Anyway, my daughter took it to a Ford Garage and they've just charged her £28.50 - If all they've done is got another code, I'm not sure how they justify that charge, especially if the M** number we were using was wrong.
I bet if I took the radio out, it's a diffrent M** number and I could have used the code tool mentioned in this thread and done it for free.
Ho hum, we live and learn (sometimes...)
Thanks anyway, guys.0 -
With the right 'keys' and not the wirecoat hanger or 4 nails .
Getting a ford radio out , noting the M number , replacing the radio.
Generating code and finally entering the code is only a 5 min job.
£28.50 .... money for old rope!0 -

Tell me about it...:(
Still, lesson learned. Hopefully other people will take note :rotfl:0 -
