i have just had my car fixed and the battery was disconnected, I don't have the code to unlock it as the previous owner failed to write it in the book.

    Can some one help?

    my serial number is: M141146

    Also, did you know

The Ford 4500 RDS Unit found in late model fiesta's does not need to be removed from the vehicle to obtain the serial number, simply turn on the radio, hold down button 6 and press 2. The serial will be shown allowing you to easily get your ford radio code.

I would be most grateful for the code.
    .,.,,.1491.,,.,,
hold down button 6 and press 2.
Thank you, and yes we did know, if you scroll back a few posts you will see that, that is suggested to those who want to know where to find the serial;)

  • Hi guys,

I was forced by my company to use one of those fancy valet parking services in Heathrow and the valet had the brilliant idea of switching on my radio and just turn the volume down instead of switching it off, so the battery ran flat after a few days and now I have a Grundig Car 200 radio in SAFE mode and no music.

My car is a Vauxhall Corsa and the serial number is W0L0SBF08Y4340300

I forgot to say that my car is second hand and the previous owner (well, the car dealer) forgot to tell me the code (I didn't even know such a code existed until a couple of days ago!).

Can you please, please help me?

I drive a lot in my work and I'm dying without music.

EDITED: I just opened the front of my radio and behind the face there were 2 stickers, one read:

    CAR 200 PL S
    19353 084.00
    sr: 747340

    And the other read:

    CAR200
    18298 10
    740977

I hope that helps. I didn´t see any GR or GM number.

By the way, does the serial number for a Grundig Car 200 ALWAYS start with GR or GM? If so, I´m screwed.

  • Hi, I'm hoping you can help. I bought a 51 reg Vauxhall Corsa second hand but when the battery was replaced it reset the radio. The word 'SAFE' is appearing on the disply, and whilst I know the procedure to get the radio working again, I don't know the security code that needs to be entered.

    The serial number is: GM020511002047

    Any help would be appreciated.

The radio will have to be removed from the dashboard in order to find the 14 character Serial Number beginning with GM xxxxxxxxxxxx or GR or similar...often found stamped in the metal casing

    The serial number is: GM1303S2849879

    Thanx

The radio has to be removed from the dashboard.

Then quote the 14 character Serial Number usually found stamped in the metal casing. It usually begins with GM xxxxxxxxxxxx
