  • :(Sorry. We are unable to decode V series radios. You will not be able to get it anywhere on line, so do not pay a decode site:(

Just to let you know I used instant-radio-code.co.uk and they successfully provided a code for V series serial numbers for my ford focus. :D

    Nice 1:T
Have to say you are one of the few, can only go from replies/postings from others who have paid and the code not worked.
I will leave that part out of future replies

  • Hi can anyone please help? I know this is the 3rd request I have made in 18 months for a radio code but people have not supplied the correct code to me.

I have a vauxhall agila with a grundig 2001 radio.

    The details are:

    serial number GM020131031798

I have contacted Vauxhall and they gave me a code which does not work.Yesterday I purchased a code off ebay but cannot find the code with this either.

If you can help I would be very grateful.

    Many thanks
If you have tried a code from 2 sources using the same serial number I would think that the radio has been RE-CODED in the past. No matter who supplies the code it will not work.

I am sure that you will now have to use a Decoding Service or your local Car Radio / Audio Shop (who are normally the cheapest option) who will connect it to a laptop to read/recode the memory chip (EEPROM)

The code for Serial Number GM020131031798 is not obtainable for free from anywhere on the Internet as it is not in the available database.(The only commercially available software database has codes up to approx year 2000 You could try emailing restoredclassic@aol.com as I know they have a much larger Grundig database than mine , but feel sure they won`t be able to help with your year 2001 radio)

It will require access to the original factory database held by Vauxhall or will have to be taken into a Radio Decoding Service ( eg ....your local Car Radio Store ) so that they can plug in a laptop to read the code in the memory chip.(EEPROM)

You say that Vauxhall gave you a code that did not work .

    This usually means

1......You have given them the wrong Serial Number
2......You are entering the code incorrectly
3.......Your radio has been recoded in the past to a completely different number to the one it left the factory with.
4......Your radio has a fault in its security system
  • Hi, I have recently bought myself my first car, a little Peugeot 206 fro auction but the radio didn't have a code.
    Serial Number :
    BP8140Y5484210
    Part Number :
    7648140392
    Model Type :
    T1 LOW BP8140

Any chance anyone could find the code, would be a life saver, and money saver as Peugeot are trying to charge me £25 pound.

    Thanks you very much
